Memories from the Lake |is a growing collection of stories that author Ken Kristjanson has penned over the years. The stories’ common theme is Lake Winnipeg, interesting people that Ken has met and the fascinating places he has been.

Ken Kristjanson is a husband, father, and grandfather who is very proud to say he grew up in Gimli, Manitoba.

He currently resides in Winnipeg with his beloved wife Eve-Anne. Ken loves world history, local politics, hockey, traveling, garage sales, collecting postcards and of course, his home town of Gimli.

New Iceland Fisheries is Manitoba’s leading harvester, processor, smoker and purveyor of wild-caught freshwater fish. We are founded, owned and operated by 5th-generation commercial fisher Trevor Kristjanson.

New Iceland Fisheries delivers fish directly to consumers, as well as restaurants, retail stores, and wholesalers, eliminating the middleman from your fish buying experience.

Our mission is simple: to harvest freshwater fish in a sustainable manner, and provide Manitobans with the best-quality freshwater fish at the best price.

Ice Vikings - Series One (2020)

Ice Vikings takes viewers inside a world never before seen on television: Lake Winnipeg’s commercial ice fishing industry, where descendants of Icelandic Vikings race against time and weather to bring their catch to shore before the ice gives way.
